General Info

Tucked away in the heart of Ginza, Sushi Suzuki offers a refined yet welcoming sushi dining experience in Tokyo. Located at Japan, 〒104-0061 Tokyo, Chuo City, Ginza, 6 Chome−5−6 銀座美術館ビル 5F, this sushi restaurant sits quietly above the busy streets, creating a calm atmosphere that feels worlds away from the city's fast pace. From the moment you step inside, the setting feels intimate and peaceful. The space is smoke-free, quiet, and designed for diners who want to focus fully on the flavors in front of them.

Reservations are required here, which honestly adds to the feeling that you’re about to experience something special. The restaurant keeps things organized and smooth, and they accept credit cards, making the visit convenient for both locals and travelers exploring Tokyo’s dining scene.

The menu focuses on carefully prepared sushi that highlights the quality of each ingredient. One dish that truly stands out is the Aji Horse Mackerel. It’s fresh, delicate, and balanced in flavor. The texture is incredibly smooth, and the fish carries a natural sweetness that pairs beautifully with the rice. Another memorable bite is the Tuna Hand Roll, which arrives crisp and aromatic. The seaweed wraps around the tuna perfectly, creating a simple yet satisfying combination that feels both classic and comforting.

For those looking to explore more unique flavors, the 鯨尾肉 offers something different from the usual sushi lineup. It’s rich and bold, giving the menu an adventurous touch. Then there’s the いくら, which bursts with briny flavor in every bite. The glossy salmon roe sits beautifully on the rice, adding both texture and brightness to the experience.

A meal at Sushi Suzuki would not feel complete without trying their たまごやき. This Japanese omelet is soft, slightly sweet, and carefully layered. It’s one of those small details on the menu that reveals the chef’s precision and attention to balance.

To complement the sushi, the restaurant also offers wine, which pairs surprisingly well with several of the dishes. The drink selection adds another layer to the dining experience, especially when enjoyed in the restaurant’s quiet and relaxed setting.

The location in Ginza makes it easy to include in a food-focused itinerary, yet the atmosphere inside remains calm and focused on the meal itself. Dining here feels less like rushing through a menu and more like slowing down to appreciate each piece of sushi placed in front of you.

What customers say?

“ Note that the location has moved (Level 5, 6-5-6, Ginza Chuo City, Tokyo) The new address is about two buildings farther down the street from the old address (see photos) on the fifth floor. We had some trouble finding the new location, but even though we were late, Chef Suzuki-san was incredibly kind to accommodate us! This was the best omakase we’ve had in Tokyo. Chef Suzuki-san was incredibly hospitable and kind, and each piece was so delicious and crafted with care. The ambiance is intimate and warm, and Chef Suzuki-san paid individual attention to each diner. It was such an amazing experience. ”

“ I had the lunch set which cost about 245 SGD excluding the drinks. The quality was surprisingly great and the shari went quite well with the neta. I was also glad I got the chance to try penshell clam, which I initially thought was a huge piece of scallop. I recommend giving this a try if you want some good and affordable sushi. ”

“ Exquisitely crafted edomae sushi by Suzuki-san. Chef turns high quality ingredients into beautiful, delicious nigiri. ”

- Marc Pamatian -

“ Had the experience of dining at Sushi Suzuki and it was a fun omakase experience. Chef Suzuki was very friendly and engaging and the amount of sushi that was served seemed never ending. Every piece was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful. Just a word of advice: if you’re using google maps it will direct you to the back of the building. The location is actually on the other side and you have to take an elevator to the 5th floor. Also, the name of the restaurant is not in english. ”

“ Uni and boiled clam was unforgettable, definitely sweetest uni I have ever tried. Worth a 30000 yen lunch. Sadly needed to give 4 stars because I found a scale in one of my dish, and no compensation was offered. Bone is not acceptable in this level of restaurant. ”

“ I came here with a friend after making a reservation with the staff over the phone. It really helped that my friend was a Japanese native since I also have a shellfish allergy and they were helpful in making that clear to the staff. The experience was very high-end and truly an experience worth the price of admission. The whole meal took a little more than 3 hours and we were even offered to have more if we were still hungry. The host was amazing and funny with great conversations and banter. They speak very little English but thankfully we knew japanese to get the full experience. ”

“ Visiting this sushi restaurant was undoubtedly a highlight of my trip. Yes, it was pricey, but the exceptional quality of the sushi made it well worth it. What set this place apart was not just the sushi itself but the atmosphere. Unlike the more intense sushi spots where you feel you can't even breathe too loudly, this restaurant had a much more relaxed vibe. The sushi chef was engaging, adding to the enjoyable experience—though I do wish I spoke Japanese to interact more! The culinary adventure included trying whale meat for the first time, which was raw and not exactly to my taste but certainly intriguing. This restaurant ranks in my top 10 for the amazing sushi and the overall pleasant dining experience. The only downside was the somewhat awkward wait outside before they opened, in an area that felt a bit offbeat, leaving us wondering if we were in the right spot. Despite that, it’s a solid 5-star experience and I'm definitely glad I went. ”

“ This place was fantastic, they did not have openings, however because we showed up and were very polite they did allow us to sit for lunch. The fish changed my opinion of tuna in general, and the Toro was especially oishi. Service from start to finish was fantastic. ”
